Pastoral Council Meeting 12th
February UPDATE.
A reflection on the recent Pastoral
Council Training and ongoing nature of the Council
was deliberated upon at this meeting. It was decided
at the Pastoral Council Meeting, to encourage new
membership to the various ministries/Groups in the
Parish. This will be encouraged at the Sunday Masses
in the next few weeks. It was acknowledged that our
Church would be a baby friendly Church and that parent’s
with children and babies should be made very welcome.
It was also decided to host a concert in the Pastoral
Centre on Monday 16th March to celebrate our culture
for St. Patrick’s Day. If you would like to
take part please leave your Name/Tel. no at the Parish
Office in the next couple of weeks. A special function
will be hosted for all involved in the Parish Ministries/Groups
on Friday 24th April, in the Pastoral Centre to which,
all who are actively involved in Parish Ministries/Groups
are invited without invitation needed to be sent to
individuals. It was also agreed that anyone taking
part in Parish Ministries/Groups would need to go
through Access NI vetting before becoming an active
member and that all existing volunteers in our various
parish ministries should be in the process of this
vetting at this stage, if not already vetted. Next
meeting Monday 9th March at 7.30pm.
